It’s important to understand how electricity and gas is being used in your home, so that you can make informed decisions about what you use, and what you’ll end up paying for.
A good way to build your understanding is to do a home energy audit. You can do one yourself, either by using a guide – see the sa.gov.au website for a step-by-step guide or a downloadable booklet – or by borrowing a Home Energy Toolkit from a public library, available for free with a library card.
ConnectEd has experienced Energy Advisors who can provide community members with home energy audits and give tailored energy advice. Individuals and households can be referred to this FREE service via ConnectEd staff. Download the referral form using the button above.
You can also apply directly if you need help with your household energy usage. Send an email to: ConnectEd@unitingcommunities.org or call (08) 8202 5128. If you have attended a ConnectEd community information session you are automatically eligible.
ConnectEd Home Energy Assessments include a phone call from one of our skilled Energy Advisors followed up, if necessary, by a home visit.
